Convoluted MoBlogging

Finally completed a rather convoluted setup that’ll enable me to blog from my mobile phone.

Now let’s see if this works…

Cool, it works!

What I did was to set up a mail server, register a “secret” email address at this server, and use the “Post by e-mail” feature provided by WordPress!

The default functionality did not work out of the box, and I had to install a plugin called “Postie” to get it to work.

Now I can send emails to this “secret” email address… and Postie will automatically pick up and post the contents of any emails sent to this address, as though they were posted by me!

All in all, a good night’s work! (if I can say so myself)
