Fun Facts, Courtesy of Google Analytics!
While I honestly don’t need all that power of Google Analytics for my humble personal blog, I had set it up “just for kicks”. (And yes, I don’t deny being a Google-Lover)
After keeping the blog for a couple of months, I can see that Google Analytics has compiled a number of interesting facts.
- I’ve had 51 unique visitors
- Visitors click through an average of 1.78 pages on each visit
- 66.67% of visitors leave my blog after reading the first page
- Visitors spend an average of 51 seconds on each visit
-> Wow, I know for a fact that I don’t have so many friends. Where are all these people coming from?
-> Not too bad
-> Together with point #2 above, this is to be expected since my main page displays the full text of the 5 most recent posts
-> Huh? That sounds way too short… If the average is only 51 seconds, that would mean that quite a number of visitors will only spend a few seconds on the site. Wonder why they would take the trouble of coming to my blog, if they’re only going to leave it so soon?
Oh, and the top 10 countries from which my visitors are coming from:
- United States: 16 Visits
- South Korea: 7 Visits
- India: 4 Visits
- France: 3 Visits
- Canada: 3 Visits
- Sweden: 3 Visits
- China: 2 Visits
- United Kingdom: 2 Visits
- Norway: 1 Visit
- Hong Kong 1 Visit
While I’m not usually a “numbers” person, going through these statistics once in a while sure is fun!
