Kraussian, I know that feeling. I'm afraid I also hit all possible scales, including plastic 1/72. LOL!
I hope to see those Baccus Romans soon painted.
Best,

@RMilner: Yes, I'm surprised at how forgiving 6mm can be with "sloppy" painting.

For example, I was painting those tiny arms on Greek hoplites last night, and discovered that two simple swishes of my brush are doing a surprisingly decent job!

@Javier: Wow, those are some fantastic paintjobs and miniatures!

You know, this "regret" about the scale you're currently using seems to hit us all.

When I look at the "mass effect" of 6mm armies, I absolutely love them. But then when I look at all the wonderful detail on 28mm miniatures, I tend to question my decision of going with 6mm.

I guess miniature aficionados like us will only be truly content when we have all these armies at all possible scales and sizes!

The secret of painting 6mm is not to worry about the detail.

The Baccus site has got some good tutorials for how to do it.

Fantastic pics! Thank you very much. BTW, after seeing these wonderful little guys I'm regretting going 10 mm with them.
You can see my Pendraken 10mm EIR DBA Army here: http://javieratwar.blogspot.com/2009/02/10-mm-pendraken-early-imperial-roman.html

@vanth I certainly hope so!

I've recently started painting a bunch of 6mm Greek hoplites, and they sure seem to paint up much faster than 28mm or even 15mm! I think it's got to do with the fact that you simply don't need to get into all those small details to make the figure look good.

You'll be surprised again: it's going to take you a lot less than you expect!
